It has been a tradition for Dan and I to spend every Valentine’s Day in Solvang since we’ve met. This year was our 12th one we’ve shared together. We had the weekend off so we spent Friday in Santa Barbara then Saturday in Solvang. We thought it would be fun to take the Vespa this year so we loaded it in the back of our truck and took it with us. The weather couldn’t have been more perfect! It was sunny and warm with bright blue skies and just the perfect amount of wind. We started the day off eating at one of our favorite spots for lunch called The Greenhouse Cafe. Then we walked around the Danish Village, went shopping, and had fun taking pictures together. We always like to get the classic photo with the big wind mill in the background 🙂 We also thought it would be fun to dress up a little rather than just dressing up for dinner. Dan is wearing some tan slacks and a white button up shirt, both from Cotton On. His watch is from Forever 21, his shoes are thrifted, and his jacket is by Louis Raphael. He also has in his jacket pocket a handkerchief that I handmade him just for Valentine’s Day. The dress I am wearing is from Forever 21, the headband is made by Embers and Arrows, and my shoes are by Vince Camuto. After we walked around for awhile we hopped on the Vespa and cruised around town for awhile, then rode out to the Chumash Reservation 5 miles down the road. When it got dark we rode back over to Solvang to eat dinner at a restaurant we go to every year called Bit O’ Denmark Restaurant. It was such a beautiful weekend with my love and I’m so grateful that we have each other to share this life with.
