For a long time I’ve been into Native American style blankets, rugs, prints, and fabrics. I especially love the Aztec and Navajo designs. This handcrafted wooden weaving loom was made by my husband Daniel. He is a man of many talents and never ceases to amaze me with what he can create. He loves wood working and created a logo for his woodworking hobby called “Chief.” He took inspiration from the Navajo weaving loom and completely engineered and designed this on his own. He knew that I was really into bead looming and we both thought it would be fun for me to start weaving my own blankets, tapestries, and rugs! I completed the warping stage of my project and now I’m about to start the fun part, weaving! I drew out a sketch of what I want my first blanket to be, and I bought all of my yarn. I can’t wait to see what the end result will look like and can’t wait to share! If you need me, I will be in my cave weaving my blanket and listening to Native American music……seriously though 😊
