Oliver Turns One!

Oliver turned 1 year old on the 18th! We celebrated last weekend with our families and had the best time together. We love getting together with all the aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents. We have the best time together and get to make such sweet memories. My mom made his cute cake and Everly and I made cupcakes together. It was so fun getting to see Oliver eat his cake. It took him awhile to dig into it but once he got the hang of it, it ended up all over his face and on the floor 😆 On Ollie’s real birthday, we started out with a waffle breakfast, followed by playtime with sister, and lots of giggles. Nana and Papa came over and we opened a few gifts with him. I got to give him one of my old Pound Puppy stuffed animals from when I was little. We sang happy birthday, ate some cupcakes, and went for a walk together. I couldn’t have dreamed of a more precious, happy boy to raise. He is such a sweetheart and it’s been a delight watching him grow. It’s been especially fun seeing him walk around the house this last month, playing with his sister, and giggling all the time. He’s talking more and his favorite words are still Dada and Nana. I swear I heard him say “Mama” a few times too 🥰 He’s constantly finding things to climb on, bobs up and down when he likes a song, and is always charming us with his smile. He loves pointing at someone or something he wants, and it’s always super easy to get a smile out of him. Lately he’s been echoing sounds that people make. Sometimes his sister with make a squeak sound the hall and he’ll hear it, smile, and copy it. They keep going back and fourth making sounds and making each other giggle. It’s the best! Our family became complete the day he came into this world. His joy makes our hearts so full. This last year has been a beautiful adventure full of sweet memories made. We’re cherishing every moment with him and we’re so thankful for this first year with our baby boy 🤍
