Desert Daze

Our trip to the desert in our new trailer was such an adventure! I love living on the coast but sometimes it’s nice to have a change of environment. Today’s fashion post is featuring pieces I’ve had in my closet for some time now, but I’ve been disciplining myself to use the clothes I have and not fill my closet up with more fabric that a lot of times ends up just sitting there. It’s been hard but it’s also been fun seeing what lost pieces I can put together to make an outfit. My hat, romper, jacket and glasses are all from Forever 21. My crystal necklace is made by Tiana with Pueblo Street Jewelry Co, my native bracelet is made by me at Kari Jane Co, and my fringe boots are from Not Rated Footwear. If you find some shoes you like there, you can use code “Kari Jane” to receive 20% off your purchase. I hope everyone had a fabulous Easter with your families!

Joshua Tree

My husband and I celebrated our 10th anniversary a couple weeks ago and decided to take our new trailer across CA to the Grand Canyon. Our first stop was Joshua Tree! We spent one night at the Joshua Tree Lake RV Park, then the second night we boondocked off a random road surrounded by Joshua Trees.  Lately I’ve been trying to wear things in my closet that I haven’t worn in a while as supposed to buying new clothes. I recently did some spring cleaning in my closet and came across this faux fringe vest from Forever 21 that I’ve had for over a year and never worn. The tags were still on it too! Haha. I thought it would be perfect for our desert adventure. I styled it with my old ripped jeans and thrifted black booties. The top is by Billabong and I got it from Tillys last year and my black hat is from Forever 21. Can’t wait to share more photos from our adventures!
