Bamboo Beach and Lush Hair Extensions

I look forward to Alterna’s Bamboo Beach collection every summer! My absolute favorite product for my hair is the Sunshine Spray. The smell alone is a big reason why I love it. The scent is a combination of Brazilian Mango and Coconut Milk. Every time I spray it my hair, my husband tells me how good I smell 😄 It’s a weightless shine spray that adds UVA/UVB protection. It’s free of parabens, sulfates, and phthalates, and contains Organic Bamboo Extract that strengthens hair, Tahitian Coconut that moisturizers hair, and Sunflower Seed Oil that prevents frizz and has UV protection.  All of the other products in this line contain the same ingredients and more. The 1 Minute Recovery Mask is the perfect after-sun treatment. It leaves hair feeling soft and silky and hydrated. The Ocean Waves and Breeze Dry Balm are perfect styling products to achieve a natural Beach wave look. If you’re like me and don’t have naturally curly or wavy hair, I recommend applying these products in towel dried hair, then putting your hair in braids or in a bun. When it’s dry, take out the braids or bun, and you’ll have some fun waves and texture to play with.  I highly recommend these products! You can find them here: www.alternahaircare.com

I’ve been having fun styling my new clip-in hair extensions from Lush Hair Extensions. The ones I am wearing in the photos are the 20″ platinum blonde. They were the perfect color right out of the package! If you are a platinum blonde, I’m sure you understand the maintenance required to keep it healthy. It can also be nearly impossible to grow it out super long, especially if it’s really fine. That’s why I love playing with clip in extensions! I get to experience the dream mermaid hair 😄I’m really happy with the quality and definitely recommend this company! You can find Lush Hair Extensions here: https://www.lushhairextensions.co.uk/

My Makeup Brush Set – OVAL BRUSHES

I finally got around to playing with my round makeup brushes from My Makeup Brush Set, and I was pleasantly surprised! As a makeup artist, I have my favorite go-to brushes that I can’t live without but I challenged myself to create a look only using my oval brush set. First off, they’re sooo soft and I love it. I really loved how my foundation buffed in to my skin without any streaking. I also thought that a lot of my products would be absorbed too much by the brushes but they weren’t. I used the second biggest brush to apply foundation and also used it to apply my bronzer and blush and it worked great. I used the smallest circle shaped brush to apply my eyeshadow to the crease and outer corner. The eyeshadow applied well and I liked it but I did go in with my fingers and soften the edges of my eyeshadow since I didn’t have any type of blending brush. I would also say to be soft handed when dipping into any of your pressed powder products. Because they’re synthetic bristles and pretty dense, if you press to hard you’ll have a lot of left over powder that you won’t use that you’ll end up blowing off your palette or powder. I really loved the smallest thinner round shaped brush. I used it as a smudge brush to soften and smoke out my bottom pencil eyeliner and it looked great!  Overall I liked these brushes and it was fun to challenge myself to use something different. I would definitely say that these brushes would take some getting used to, but I can tell the more I use them the more I’ll love them.
